Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and energetic Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying coatings, and finishing projects across residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Your expertise in various painting techniques and surface preparation methods will ensure high-quality results that meet safety standards and client expectations. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, scraping, caulking, plastering, drywall installation, and other surface treatments to ensure optimal adhesion and finish quality. Apply paint, stain, varnish, or other coatings using brushes, rollers, paint sprayers (including airless spray equipment), and conventional spray systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and color schemes to accurately execute project specifications. Use hand tools and power tools safely to perform tasks such as sanding, scraping, masking, and fixture installation. Conduct surface testing and visual color comparisons to achieve consistent color matching and finish standards. Follow safety regulations rigorously by wearing respiratory protection and adhering to safety protocols on construction sites. Assist with renovation projects by performing carpentry tasks such as trim carpentry or framing when needed. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste materials properly. Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while ensuring quality workmanship. Qualifications Proven experience in construction painting including residential, commercial, or industrial settings with knowledge of surface preparation techniques. Familiarity with construction estimating processes and interpreting technical drawings or schematics. Proficiency in various painting methods such as brush painting, roller painting, spray painting (including airless spray), and coating application. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, ladders safely and effectively on construction sites. Knowledge of safety regulations including respiratory protection requirements and safe handling of hazardous materials. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to project specifications. Experience with drywall installation, plastering, caulking, masonry, stucco work, fixture installation or restoration projects is a plus. Strong attention to detail with an eye for color accuracy and visual consistency. Construction site experience combined with good physical stamina for standing, climbing ladders or scaffolding for extended periods.
