In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, stain, and other finishes to a variety of surfaces in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Your expertise will help transform spaces, enhance their aesthetic appeal, and ensure long-lasting protection. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that require precision, creativity, and technical know-how. Whether working on renovation sites or new construction projects, you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality results that exceed client expectations. Duties Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Use hand tools and power tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and scaffolding to apply paints, stains, and finishes accurately. Read blueprints and schematics to determine project scope, color schemes based on color theory principles, and specific application techniques. Perform residential and commercial painting tasks with attention to detail, including trim carpentry, fixture installation, and restoration work. Execute construction painting tasks on various surfaces including stucco, masonry, concrete finishing, and industrial coatings. Assist with remodeling projects by providing drywall finishing (including plastering), masonry work, frame carpentry, and renovation support. Maintain safety standards on construction sites by using appropriate personal protective equipment and following safety protocols during all painting activities. Skills Extensive experience with construction estimating for painting projects to ensure accurate material ordering and project planning. Strong knowledge of color theory to achieve desired aesthetic effects and proper color matching. Proficiency in residential and commercial painting techniques across diverse environments. Skilled in the use of hand tools (such as scrapers, putty knives) and power tools (including drills and sanders). Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for precise project execution. Experience with construction site work including scaffolding setup and working at heights safely. Knowledge of plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, restoration techniques, and fixture installation. Familiarity with industrial painting processes such as industrial coatings or specialized finishes. Basic math skills for measuring surfaces accurately and calculating materials needed. Knowledge of welding or masonry is a plus for specialized projects requiring additional craftsmanship skills.
