Overview We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team, responsible for delivering high-quality painting services across various residential and commercial projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of color theory, construction techniques, and the ability to work with various tools and materials. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to excellence in every project undertaken. Duties Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer as needed. Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or airless paint spraying equipment. Execute residential and commercial painting projects with precision, ensuring high standards of quality. Read blueprints and schematics to determine the scope of work and specific requirements for each project. Collaborate with construction teams on renovation and restoration projects, offering insights on color selection and design choices. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various tasks including caulking, plastering, trim carpentry, and fixture installation. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols on construction sites. Assist in estimating project costs by evaluating materials needed and timeframes for completion. Qualifications Proven experience in residential and commercial painting is preferred. Strong knowledge of construction practices including masonry, concrete finishing, carpentry, and renovation techniques. Familiarity with color theory and the ability to mix paints accurately. Experience in reading blueprints and schematics is essential. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Basic math skills for measuring areas and calculating material requirements. Previous construction site experience is highly desirable. Ability to perform maintenance tasks including welding when necessary. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering quality workmanship.
