Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Painter/Laborer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing various painting tasks in both commercial and construction environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of painting techniques, ableness to work with a team, safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively on construction sites. This position requires a commitment to quality workmanship and attention to detail. Duties Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and patching as necessary. Apply paint, stain, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and airless paint spraying equipment. Follow blueprints and specifications to ensure accurate application of colors and finishes. Utilize power tools safely for various tasks related to painting and finishing work. Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while maintaining high standards of quality. Conduct regular inspections of completed work to ensure adherence to safety regulations and quality standards. Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the duration of projects. Skills Proficiency in construction painting techniques, including commercial painting applications. Familiarity with construction site protocols and safety measures. Experience with power tools used in painting and finishing tasks. Ability to read blueprints and understand project specifications effectively. Understanding of color theory to achieve desired aesthetic results. Basic math skills for measuring areas and calculating paint quantities accurately. Trim carpentry skills are a plus for completing finishing touches on projects.
