Painter

Job Summary:

Painter Helper assists lead painters with preparing surfaces, mixing paint, setting up equipment, and maintaining a clean job site. This role is ideal for someone who wants to learn the painting trade and gain hands-on experience in new new construction residential, repaint, or commercial projects.

Responsibilities:

Prepare surfaces for painting (sanding, scraping, taping, masking, patching) Set up ladders, scaffolding, spray masking, drop cloths, and tools(sprayers/sanders) Mix paints, primers, and coatings as directed Assist with applying paint using brushes, rollers, or sprayers Move materials and supplies around the job site Clean tools, brushes, and equipment after use Maintain a clean and safe work environment including following all safety protocol such as the use of PPE while working. Follow all safety procedures on job sites

Requirements:

Ability to lift 40-50 lbs and perform physical work Comfortable working on ladders or at heights Reliable transportation to job sites Basic construction or painting knowledge preferred (not always required) Strong work ethic Willingness to learn is essential Benefits (varies by employer): On-the-job training Opportunity to advance to painter/apprentice Paid overtime

Pay:

$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
