Signature Truck Systems is looking for an experienced Bodywork Prep/Painter to join our Houghton Lake team. This is a first shift, full time position. Pay is $20-22 per hour. •If your resume does not fully reflect the experience required for this position, please include a cover letter or written explanation of your relevant experience in order to be considered.•Position Responsibilities Inspect areas to be painted, identifying body repair needs, surface defects, and prep requirements Sand, mask, blend, polish, and touch up finishes to specification Follow customer-specific direction for color selection and application Must wear a respirator; position requires passing a confidential medical questionnaire and respiratory fit test Ability to work overtime as business needs require

Requirements:

Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience in truck, tank/vessel, or heavy equipment preparation and painting required Must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment, including respirator Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential; employees are expected to report to work on time and maintain consistent attendance in support of team operations and production schedules Must be able to pass criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening, including marijuana Physical Demands This position requires the physical ability to perform the following on a regular basis: repetitive arm movements including holding, reaching, and rotating; frequent standing, walking, stooping, and crouching; climbing ladders; lifting and carrying materials; and maintaining balance in varying work environments. Candidates must be able to sustain these activities throughout the duration of a full shift. Facial Hair Policy In accordance with guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), tight-fitting respirators cannot achieve an adequate facial seal when facial hair is present at the sealing surface. Employees who wear a tight-fitting respirator must be clean-shaven where the device seals to the face. Facial hair that does not interfere with the sealing surface may be acceptable on a case-by-case basis. Candidates with questions are welcome to discuss this policy during the interview process. Compensation & Benefits Starting wage is $20-$22/hour, with the potential to start higher based on experience.
