$24.65 - $83.24 per hour, based on experience Job Description Jos. Ward Painting Co. is hiring an experienced Commercial and Industrial Painter to join our team. We are looking for a dependable, hardworking individual with experience in surface preparation, coatings, painting, and finishing for commercial and industrial projects. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, works safely, and can complete jobs efficiently while maintaining a professional attitude on the job site. Responsibilities As a Commercial and Industrial Painter, you will be responsible for: Preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, grinding, pressure washing, or other approved methods Applying paint, primers, sealers, epoxies, and industrial coatings Using brushes, rollers, sprayers, and other painting equipment Masking, covering, and protecting surrounding areas before painting Working on commercial buildings, offices, warehouses, factories, hospitals, retirement communities, industrial facilities, and similar job sites Working interior and exterior projects Qualifications Qualified candidates should have: Previous residential, commercial or industrial painting 2 year experience preferred Knowledge of surface preparation and coating application Experience with spray equipment is a plus Experience installing wallcoverings is a plus Ability to work from ladders, lifts, scaffolding, or elevated platforms Ability to lift, bend, stand, and work for extended periods Strong attention to detail Reliable transportation Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic Ability to pass a drug screen and/or background check, if required Valid driver's license preferred Reading and following job specifications, safety instructions, and work orders Reading drawings a plus Safety certifications a plus Ability to interact with an Ipad for job site drawings, email and project logs a plus Maintaining tools, equipment, and a clean work area Following all company safety policies and OSHA standards Working independently or as part of a crew to complete projects on scheduleBenefits use of smart phone to report payroll time We offer: Competitive pay based on experience Steady full-time work Opportunities for overtime Paid training, when applicable Room for advancement Health insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Other benefits Schedule Monday through Sunday Day shift, shift work Overtime may be available Occasional weekend or travel work may be required depending on project needs Why Join Our Team?
