Duties Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Use hand tools and power tools to apply paints, stains, varnishes, and specialty coatings with precision. Read blueprints, schematics, and schematics to accurately interpret project specifications and color schemes based on color theory principles. Perform residential painting tasks including wall, ceiling, trim, stucco, masonry, and fixture painting to enhance aesthetic appeal. Execute renovation projects involving plastering, caulking, drywall repair, frame carpentry, and restoration work to improve structural integrity. Operate airless paint sprayers and other industrial painting equipment efficiently for large or detailed areas. Install fixtures and perform handyman tasks such as carpentry, masonry repairs, concrete finishing, welding, and maintenance to support comprehensive project completion. Qualifications Proven experience in residential painting along with construction site experience; familiarity with commercial or industrial painting is a plus. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, ladders, and safety equipment to perform various tasks safely and effectively. Knowledge of construction estimating processes and basic math skills for measuring surfaces and calculating paint quantities. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and schematics accurately; understanding of construction drawings is essential. Strong background in related trades such as carpentry (trim carpentry), plastering, stucco application, masonry, restoration work, and fixture installation. Familiarity with color theory to assist clients in selecting appropriate color schemes that complement their homes.
