Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in Commercial / Residential Painting and a strong understanding of color theory. This role involves preparing surfaces for painting, applying various types of paint and finishes, and ensuring high-quality results on both residential and commercial projects. The Painter will work closely with other tradespeople, so effective communication and teamwork skills are essential. Duties Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers as needed. Apply paint using brushes, rollers, and airless paint spraying techniques. Read blueprints to understand project specifications and requirements. Restore and maintain existing painted surfaces to ensure longevity and aesthetic appeal. Perform caulking to seal gaps and joints for a finished look. Assist in remodeling projects by painting walls, ceilings, and fixtures as required. Collaborate with carpenters for frame carpentry tasks that may involve painting or finishing woodwork. Install fixtures post-painting to complete the project efficiently. Maintain a clean work area and adhere to safety protocols at all times. Qualifications Proven experience in painting with a strong portfolio of completed projects. Ability to read blueprints and follow detailed instructions accurately. Familiarity with restoration techniques for various surfaces. Knowledge of caulking methods and materials used in painting applications. Experience in remodeling projects is preferred. Proficiency in airless paint spraying equipment is a plus. Strong understanding of color theory to assist in color selection and application. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
