Job Description

Job Title:
Indoor Apartment Painter - Escape the Heat!
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Indoor Apartment Painter to prepare and paint apartment interiors, ensuring units are clean, attractive, and move-in ready for residents. The ideal candidate will have experience with surface preparation, drywall repair, painting techniques, and color matching while maintaining high-quality workmanship and safety standards. Apartment painters typically prepare walls, ceilings, doors, trim, and other interior surfaces for painting and perform touch-ups between resident turnovers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare interior surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, patching holes, and applying primer as needed. Paint walls, ceilings, doors, trim, cabinets, and other apartment surfaces using brushes, rollers, and sprayers. Repair minor drywall damage, nail holes, cracks, and surface imperfections before painting. Match paint colors and finishes to property standards. Protect floors, fixtures, appliances, and furniture using drop cloths and masking materials. Complete apartment turnovers within required deadlines while maintaining quality standards. Perform touch-up painting in occupied and vacant units. Maintain painting equipment, tools, and supplies in good working condition. Follow all safety procedures and properly store and dispose of paint materials. Keep work areas clean and organized throughout each project. Report maintenance issues such as water damage, mold, or structural concerns to management.
Qualifications:
Previous residential, apartment, or maintenance painting experience preferred. Knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and surface preparation. Experience with drywall repair and patching. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on ladders for extended periods. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred. Basic understanding of workplace safety practices.
Physical Requirements:
Frequent standing, bending, climbing, reaching, and lifting. Ability to work in enclosed indoor environments for extended periods. Ability to safely use ladders, rollers, brushes, and spray equipment.
Typical Schedule:
Full-time, Monday-Friday, with occasional overtime during apartment turnover periods.
