Role:
We are seeking an Exterior Painter to prepare and paint exterior surfaces on residential and commercial properties. You will work with the crew to produce consistent finishes while protecting customer property and following safe work practices. This hands-on role requires attention to surface condition, weather, application requirements, and detail throughout preparation and painting.
Responsibilities:
Review the work scope, approved colors, and coating specifications with the supervisor. Inspect surfaces and report damaged materials, moisture concerns, or other conditions that could affect the finish. Clean and prepare surfaces using approved methods. Scrape loose paint, sand, fill minor imperfections, and apply appropriate primer within the authorized scope. Protect windows, fixtures, landscaping, walkways, and adjacent surfaces from paint and preparation debris. Apply coatings with brushes, rollers, or spray equipment when trained and authorized. Follow product instructions for preparation, coverage, drying, and recoating. Monitor weather and surface conditions and report when they are unsuitable for application. Maintain clean edges, consistent coverage, and an even finish. Inspect completed work and address agreed touch-ups. Use ladders, access equipment, and protective equipment only as trained and authorized. Keep tools and work areas organized and manage waste according to company procedures. Communicate progress, material needs, and unexpected issues promptly. Treat customers and their property with care and professionalism.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in exterior painting or closely related work. Familiarity with surface preparation, priming, and coating application. Ability to follow product instructions and written job requirements. Attention to detail and a commitment to consistent workmanship. Ability to work cooperatively and communicate clearly. Reliable attendance and ability to reach assigned job locations. Ability to work outdoors and perform essential duties safely, with or without reasonable accommodation; specific physical and access requirements will be confirmed.
Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
