In this role, you will lead a team of skilled painters, coordinate project timelines, ensure safety compliance, and deliver exceptional craftsmanship that transforms spaces. Your expertise in various painting techniques, surface preparation, and project management will drive success on every job site. Duties Supervise and coordinate painting crews to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to project specifications. Prepare surfaces thoroughly through cleaning, sanding, caulking, plastering, and other surface preparation techniques aligned with construction standards. Apply paint using brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless spray), and other hand or power tools to achieve smooth, durable finishes on walls, ceilings, trim, stucco, masonry, and structural surfaces. Interpret technical drawings and specifications to accurately execute renovation and restoration projects. Ensure all safety regulations are followed by enforcing the use of respiratory protection, proper ladder use, fall protection measures, and safe handling of chemicals and equipment. Manage material estimates for projects involving construction estimating skills; select appropriate coatings based on surface type and environmental conditions. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools such as paint sprayers, brushes, rollers, power tools, and scaffolding equipment; ensure proper disposal of waste materials. Conduct quality inspections to verify color matching using visual color comparison techniques; address touch-ups or corrections as needed. Collaborate with clients or project managers to interpret technical drawings and discuss project progress or modifications. Lead safety meetings to reinforce safety protocol adherence across the team during all phases of work. Valid driver's license and able to drive a company's van. Must speak Spanish. Experience Proven experience in construction or industrial painting with a strong background in residential painting projects. Demonstrated leadership ability as a foreman or lead painter managing teams on multiple projects simultaneously. Skilled in surface preparation including plastering, caulking, masonry work, stucco application, and concrete finishing. Proficient in the use of hand tools such as putty knives and caulking guns; power tools including drills and sanders; spray equipment like airless paint sprayers; and conventional spraying techniques. Knowledge of color theory for accurate color matching and aesthetic consistency across surfaces. Familiarity with safety regulations related to construction site operations; experience implementing safety protocol adherence including respiratory protection measures. Ability to interpret technical drawings or specifications for precise application of coatings on various surfaces. Experience working on remodeling or renovation projects within commercial or industrial environments is preferred. Basic math skills for measurements and estimations; experience with construction estimating is a plus. Strong communication skills combined with handyman experience in fixture installation or trim carpentry are advantageous for comprehensive project oversight.
