Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Painter to join our team and elevate our painting projects to new heights. As a Lead Painter, you will oversee and execute high-quality painting work across residential, commercial, and renovation sites. Your expertise will ensure that each project is completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards of craftsmanship. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team of painters, coordinate with contractors, and bring vibrant visions to life through expert painting techniques. Responsibilities Lead and supervise any painting team members or subcontractors who may be working on various construction, renovation, and restoration projects, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards Prepare surfaces meticulously by sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion Apply paint using hand tools, power tools, airless spray equipment, and other methods suitable for the project requirements Manage surface preparation tasks such as drywall installation, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and concrete finishing Estimate project materials and labor needs accurately through construction estimating skills while maintaining efficient workflow Skills Experience with residential and commercial painting projects in construction or renovation settings Strong knowledge of color theory to achieve desired aesthetic effects Skilled in the use of hand tools (e.g., brushes, rollers), power tools (e.g., sanders, sprayers), and specialized equipment like airless paint sprayers Familiarity with construction estimating processes for planning project scope and resource allocation Ability to perform plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, masonry work, and fixture installation with precision Knowledge of industrial painting techniques including surface preparation for high durability environments Experience with renovation projects involving framing carpentry, handyman tasks, restoration work, and maintenance activities Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to project specifications Competence in welding or working with schematics for specialized industrial applications is a plus Strong understanding of construction site safety practices and ability to lead a team effectively Join us as a Lead Painter if you're passionate about transforming spaces through expert craftsmanship!
