Caulking Full Job Description Description Job Overview:
Responsible for applying paint to various interior clubhouses and exterior buildings and other surfaces, touch-ups, and completing any painting projects. In addition, the painter is responsible for preparing any surfaces, interior, and exterior that require painting and finishing. Your job will be important since good painting has both practical and aesthetic benefits. All duties are to be performed in accordance with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and ordinances, as well as department and company policies, practices, and procedures.
Compensation:
$20-$22 per hour FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, certifications, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client's property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client's directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
Your Responsibilities:
Make on-site preparations and prepare surfaces to be painted, scraped, patched, taped, and textured as necessary. Paint fire lanes, curbs, strips, stop lines, handicap, and parking lanes along with carport space numbers/letters, touch paint carports, and all others as needed. Responsible for applying paint to interior and exterior building and other surfaces, touch-up, and completing any painting projects. Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right color and texture. Work under minimal supervision to complete tasks in a timely manner. Maintain paint shop/storage area in a clean and organized manner at all times. Ensure that all necessary paint is in stock for all common areas and maintain color carts in designated areas. Provide maintenance coverage if another employee is at lunch, calls out, etc. Clean up the property and assist the maintenance department, as needed. All other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
Practice and adhere to FirstService Residential Global Service Standards. Conduct business at all times with the highest standards of personal, professional, and ethical conduct. Perform or assist with any operations as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules. Notify supervision of unusual equipment or operating problems and the need for additional material and supplies. May participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems, and maintain a specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines. Ensure all safety precautions are followed while performing the work. Follow all policies and Standard Operating Procedures as instructed by Management. Perform any range of special projects, tasks, and other related duties as assigned. Proven experience as a painter. Operate all tools skillfully and safely. Solid knowledge of methods and materials used in commercial painting and drywall techniques. Aptitude in using appropriate tools used in the painting trade including but not limited to: brushes, caulking guns, spray, roll, and brush. Conscientious with great attention to detail. Strong work ethic. Strong communication, verbal written, and interpersonal skills. High School Diploma. 3-5 years of experience in painting or similar environments.
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Work is performed in a variety of environmental conditions, with exposure to outdoor temperatures, weather variations, traffic and equipment noise, equipment vibrations, vehicle and/or chemical fumes, chemicals such as cleaning solvents, machinery and their moving parts, and dust. Work duties may require the ability to stand or walk on hard surfaces for frequent and prolonged periods of time. Consistent and regular attendance is required. Some exposure to dust and noise. Hours over and above normal office hours will occur, including evenings, holidays, and some weekends. The schedule is subject to change based on business needs.
