Full Job Description Overview:

It is the responsibility of the Painter to maintain all aspects of the building that pertain to the painting trade. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company's brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. - Kindness, Engagement, Empathy and Positivity).

Responsibilities:

Knowledge of paint and painting materials needed to complete a job successfully. Responsible for precise taping, painting, and wallpapering. Properly preparing surfaces for painting, including sanding, griding, washing, and cleaning. Maintain a clean and safe work space. Keep up with current trends and techniques used in the industry.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Ability to manage employees, training and coaching skills with evidence of developing exceptionally motivated teams. Excellent analytical, problem solving, administrative, multi-tasking, organization and prioritization skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), fluent English and articulate. Ability to work efficiently, independently and cohesively, consistently producing quality results. Computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications required. Related degree preferred/trade certification. 4 years' experience. Minimum age requirement is 21 Must possess basic mathematical skills to include ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide specific to position responsibilities. Ability to read and understand all policies and procedures. Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, employees, and members of management in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities. Must be able to complete standard forms and reports. Journeyman four years trade school and on-the-job training. Knowledge of all materials and colors. Working rapidly, attention to detail. Knowledge of all paints and coatings. Must have some taping - wallpaper and painting skills - combo person. Must have some experience in working in a hotel/casino following basic direction/instructions.
