Painter

Job Summary:

Kogut's Contracting is seeking a full time, skilled and detail-oriented Painter/Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a keen eye for detail and a strong work ethic, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Painter/Laborer will be responsible for applying paint, stain, and other finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality results on every project. Previous painting experience is a plus, but not required; we're willing to train the right candidate. Occasional travel is required up to 2 hours from Watertown, NY.

Duties:

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and repairing as needed.
• Apply paint, and stain using various techniques, including airless paint spraying and brush work.
• Finish and detail surfaces with a high-quality finish, including caulking and plaster work.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate painting and finishing.
• Perform laboring duties, such as hauling materials, lifting heavy objects, and working at heights.
• Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards and meets safety and quality requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized construction site, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Experience:

• Strong understanding of painting and finishing techniques and materials.
• Familiarity with residential and commercial painting and finishing processes.
• Knowledge of construction site safety regulations and protocols.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects, work at heights, and perform laboring duties.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Schedule:

8 hour shifts

• Monday
• Friday 10 hour shifts
• 4 days per week Weekends and overtime as needed

Pay Range:

$20

• $25 per hour depending on experience.
