Duties Prepare surfaces meticulously by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Use hand tools and power tools such as brushes, rollers, airless paint sprayers, and scaffolding to apply paints, stains, varnishes, and specialty coatings. Read blueprints and schematics to accurately determine project scope, color schemes based on color theory principles, and specific surface requirements. Execute residential painting projects including wall finishes, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and remodeling tasks with precision. Perform commercial and industrial painting tasks on large-scale structures using specialized techniques like airless spraying or welding for durable finishes. Conduct surface restoration work involving masonry, stucco application, concrete finishing, plastering, or masonry repairs to restore or enhance building exteriors or interiors. Assist with construction estimating by assessing materials needed for painting jobs and collaborating with project managers to ensure timely completion. Maintain safety standards on-site by properly handling scaffolding, working with hand tools and power tools safely, and following all construction site protocols. Experience Proven experience in construction painting across residential, commercial, or industrial settings with a strong understanding of surface preparation and finishing techniques. Familiarity with reading blueprints, schematics, and schematics related to construction projects. Hands-on experience with a variety of hand tools and power tools including caulking guns, paint sprayers (airless), drills, saws, welding equipment (preferred), and masonry tools. Knowledge of color theory to assist clients in selecting appropriate color schemes for different environments. Background in renovation projects involving drywall installation/remodeling or restoration work such as stucco application or fixture installation. Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and estimations accurately. Prior experience working on construction sites with knowledge of safety protocols related to scaffolding, framing carpentry or trim carpentry is highly desirable.
