The Painter will report to the Maintenance Project Manager and is responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paints, coatings, and finishes to commercial buildings and structures, and ensuring all work meets company quality and safety standards. This role requires attention to detail, strong time management skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team on a variety of commercial painting projects. Responsibilities
  • Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, patching, caulking, and cleaning.
  • Apply paint, stains, coatings, and finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and project specifications.
  • Protect surrounding areas with drop cloths, masking tape, and other materials.
  • Operate and maintain painting tools, ladders, lifts, and scaffolding safely.
  • Mix and match paints to achieve desired colors and finishes.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, contractors, and team members.
  • Complete projects within established timelines and budgets. Preferred Skills and Expertise
  • Previous commercial painting experience required.
  • Knowledge of painting techniques, coatings, and surface preparation methods.
  • Ability to operate spray equipment and other painting tools.
  • Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions.
  • Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
  • Clean background checking and driving record
Pay:
$22.00 - $26.00 per hour
