Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter/Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a variety of residential, commercial, and industrial painting projects, while gaining valuable hands-on experience in construction and renovation. As a Painter/Laborer, you will play a vital role in preparing surfaces, applying paint and finishes, and supporting skilled tradespeople to ensure high-quality results. This paid position is perfect for individuals eager to develop their skills in construction painting and related trades within a fast-paced, energetic environment. Duties Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and applying primer using hand tools and power tools. Apply paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes to walls, ceilings, trim, and other surfaces following project specifications. Assist with demolition, surface repairs, plastering, caulking, and drywall installation as needed for renovation projects. Support skilled tradespeople with tasks such as fixture installation, trim carpentry, and scaffolding setup. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by organizing tools, disposing of debris properly, and adhering to safety protocols on construction sites. Use hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools effectively to complete assigned tasks. Requirements Prior experience or familiarity with construction site activities including framing, or renovation work is preferred but not mandatory. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to surface areas and material quantities. Knowledge of color theory and different types of paints and finishes is a plus. Comfortable working with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and ladders in various environments. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately. Physical stamina to stand, lift heavy materials, climb ladders or scaffolding for extended periods. Join us if you're ready to build your career in construction painting while working on diverse projects that challenge your skills! We value energetic team players committed to quality craftsmanship and safety standards. This paid role offers the chance to grow professionally in a supportive environment dedicated to excellence in construction and renovation services.
