Residential Painter

Our ideal candidate should enjoy working with their hands and be able to complete physically laborious work, no experience is necessary. Neatness, attention to detail and the ability to accurately follow directions are a must. Training is done on the job and you learn while you're working with our team. Our painters have variety in what they do each day and get to see their work pay off when a project wraps up. We get to meet interesting clients and work outside in the summer and inside in the winter. Dependable hours, a regular Monday-Friday schedule, local projects, and consistent year-round work are all benefits of joining our team. We are currently hiring full-time, year round painters.

Hours:

40 hours per week. Mon.•Fri. 8:00am•4:30pm. Saturday overtime 8am-Noon when available

Professional Painter Requirements:

Be able to work as part of a team. Have a positive attitude and a willingness to listen and learn. Be friendly and presentable to clients. Be able to problem solve and take charge when needed. Be reliable, on-time daily, with no unexcused absences. Be willing to learn a variety of painting and related tasks. Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. Must be able to complete physically laborious work. Must be able to work outside from April to October. Must be able to climb tall ladders. (not afraid of heights) Must have a smartphone for timecard app and navigation. Must have a valid driver's license. Employees must be able to drive company vehicles. Must have reliable transportation to get to and from work. Must be 18 years of age or older and eligible to work in the United States. Must complete a background check before beginning work.

Professional Painter Job Duties:

Interior and exterior painting tasks.

Surface preparation:

scraping and sanding to remove loose paint and smooth uneven surfaces. Caulking, filling, priming and sealing of surfaces prior to painting. Jobsite set-up and clean-up. Covering and protection of areas and items not to be painted. Brushing and rolling walls and ceilings. Painting of doors, trim and woodwork for a smooth, quality finish. Staining and varnishing of both new and existing millwork. Patching and repair of drywall, water damage repair and drywall texture repair. Wallcovering removal and preparation for painting. Spray painting using professional equipment, when appropriate for the job.
