Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Residential Painter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming living spaces by applying high-quality paint finishes that enhance the beauty and durability of residential properties. Your expertise will help create inviting, refreshed environments for homeowners, ensuring every project meets our high standards of craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. Duties Prepare interior and exterior surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and repairing walls, ceilings, trim, and other surfaces using hand tools and power tools. Apply primers, paints, stains, and finishes with precision using brushes, rollers, airless paint sprayers, or other appropriate equipment. Execute detailed work such as caulking gaps, installing trim carpentry, stucco repairs, and masonry touch-ups to ensure seamless finishes. Read blueprints and schematics to accurately interpret project specifications and color schemes based on color theory principles. Perform renovation and restoration tasks on existing structures while maintaining safety standards on construction sites. Utilize construction estimating skills to assess project scope, materials needed, and timeframes for residential painting projects. Collaborate with clients and team members to ensure project requirements are met efficiently and professionally. Requirements Proven experience in residential painting along with knowledge of construction painting techniques and industrial painting is preferred. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and airless paint spraying equipment. Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and basic math for accurate measurements and calculations. Experience with plastering, caulking, fixture installation, framing carpentry, drywall finishing, and masonry work is highly desirable. Knowledge of construction estimating processes and renovation procedures to support project planning. Strong understanding of color theory to achieve desired aesthetic effects. Construction site experience including safety protocols and maintenance practices is essential. Additional skills such as welding, concrete finishing, remodeling, handyman experience, or working with stucco can be advantageous.
