This position assists our Lead Painter with interior and exterior painting projects at commercial and residential properties throughout the Portland Metro area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with some painting, construction, or maintenance experience who wants steady, year-round work and the opportunity to develop professional painting skills. We are looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking, detail-oriented, and willing to learn . You don't need to be a master painter, but you do need to take pride in your work, follow instructions, and be willing to stay productive throughout the workday. What You'll Do Working alongside our Lead Painter, your responsibilities will include: Prepare interior and exterior surfaces for painting Mask and protect windows, floors, fixtures, landscaping, and surrounding areas Scrape, sand, clean, and prime surfaces Fill nail holes, cracks, and minor surface imperfections Perform basic caulking and patching Assist with minor drywall repairs Apply paint using brushes and rollers Assist with spray painting and airless sprayer setup Help move and cover furniture and equipment Set up and take down ladders and painting equipment Mix and organize paints and materials Perform touch-ups and detail work Maintain clean and organized job sites Clean brushes, rollers, sprayers, and other equipment Load and unload paint, tools, ladders, and materials Assist the Lead Painter with commercial and residential painting projects Follow company and job-site safety procedures As your skills develop, you will have opportunities to take on more painting responsibilities and work more independently.
What We're Looking For Preferred Qualifications:
Previous painting, construction, maintenance, or similar hands-on experience preferred Basic knowledge of painting tools and materials Comfortable using hand and power tools Ability to follow instructions and learn new skills Strong attention to detail Dependable and punctual Good work ethic and positive attitude Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to communicate professionally with coworkers, tenants, and residents Ability to use a smartphone for basic work communication and job documentation Ability to safely work from ladders Ability to lift and carry paint, ladders, tools, and equipment Valid driver's license and clean driving record preferred Must comply with all company safety requirements What Matters Most to Us We're looking for someone who shows up on time, works hard, listens, learns, and cares about the quality of the finished job . Professional painting experience is helpful, but reliability, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn are equally important.
GREAT 4-DAY WORK WEEK
Monday - Thursday 4 days per week / 10 hours per day Work a consistent full-time schedule while enjoying Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off during the regular workweek.
