Overview We are seeking a dedicated Temp Painter to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various painting techniques and construction-related tasks, with a focus on projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to renovation, restoration, and maintenance efforts within our facility, ensuring spaces are visually appealing, safe, and well-maintained. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply paint, stain, and other finishes using hand tools and power tools, including airless paint sprayers. Perform surface repairs such as plastering, caulking, and patching to ensure smooth finishes. Assist with carpentry tasks such as trim carpentry, framing, and fixture installation as needed. Support restoration efforts by working on masonry, stucco, concrete finishing, and industrial painting projects. Maintain safety standards on construction sites by using appropriate personal protective equipment and following protocols. Skills Proficiency in construction estimating and basic math for project planning and material calculations. Strong knowledge of color theory to achieve desired aesthetic effects. Experience with residential and commercial painting projects across various environments. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, equipment safely and effectively. Knowledge of plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, masonry, and concrete finishing techniques. Hands-on experience with renovation projects including remodeling and maintenance tasks within construction sites.
