JOB DESCRIPTION
Liquid Painters play a key role in applying liquid coatings to manufactured products in accordance with work orders, specifications, and quality standards. This position supports APX's commitment to safety, quality, and on-time delivery while ensuring finished products meet appearance and performance expectations. RESPONSIBILITIES
Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals and deadlines. Apply liquid coatings onto manufactured products in accordance with work orders, specifications, and quality standards. Perform touch-ups and rework on defective or incomplete painted surfaces to ensure finished product quality. Maintain painting equipment by cleaning nozzles, containers, hoses, and other components to support consistent application quality. Mix, prepare, and adjust paints to achieve required color, finish, and quality specifications. Read, interpret, and follow work orders and work instructions accurately to ensure proper execution of tasks. Conduct quality inspections before, during, and after paint application to ensure adherence to company standards and identify defects or inconsistencies. Ensure all completed work meets established quality expectations for appearance, coverage, and finish. Assist in other areas of production as needed and perform additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Previous painting or coating experience preferred; willing to train the right candidate. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented production environment. Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy. Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions and production orders. Demonstrated willingness to learn and take on additional tasks as needed.
