The ideal candidate will have experience in both residential and commercial painting, with a strong understanding of color theory and construction practices. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work effectively on various projects, including renovations and restorations. The Painter will be responsible for executing painting tasks with precision while ensuring a clean and safe work environment. 8am to 4pm - HEAVY
FOCUS ON PAINTING AND SMALL PROJECTS
Responsibilities Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers as needed Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment Mix colors and match paint to specifications using knowledge of color theory Read blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements Perform plastering and caulking as necessary to ensure smooth finishes Conduct maintenance tasks including touch-ups and repairs on existing painted surfaces Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure project timelines are met Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, including power tools and hand tools Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area at all times Qualifications Proven experience in residential and commercial painting Knowledge of construction estimating and basic math skills for accurate measurements Familiarity with construction site practices and safety regulations Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings Experience with plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, concrete finishing, masonry, and remodeling is preferred Proficiency in the use of airless paint spraying equipment and other painting tools Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments We encourage candidates who possess maintenance person experience or skills in welding or fixture installation to apply.
