Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces, enhance aesthetics, and ensure quality craftsmanship. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing your skills in surface preparation, color application, and finishing techniques to deliver outstanding results. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply paint, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools. Read blueprints and schematics to accurately determine surface areas and project specifications. Perform specialized painting tasks including residential painting, commercial painting, industrial coating applications, and restoration projects. Execute surface repairs such as plastering, caulking, stucco application, and drywall finishing to create smooth surfaces ready for painting. Use construction estimating skills to assess project scope and materials needed for each job. Assist with renovation projects involving trim carpentry, fixture installation, framing, masonry work, and basic carpentry tasks like caulking and demolition. Maintain safety standards on construction sites by following protocols related to scaffolding, working at heights, handling hazardous materials (like welding fumes), and operating machinery safely. Skills Extensive experience with construction site work including construction estimating and blueprint reading. Proficiency in various painting techniques such as airless spray painting and traditional brush/roller application. Knowledge of color theory for selecting appropriate hues and finishes for different environments. Skilled in using hand tools (brushes, rollers), power tools (sanders, drills), and specialized equipment like welding machines or scaffolding setups. Strong understanding of surface preparation including plastering, caulking, stucco application, masonry finishing, and concrete work. Experience with renovation projects involving remodeling, fixture installation, restoration work, and trim carpentry. Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and material estimates accurately. Familiarity with schematics related to industrial or commercial painting projects.
