Lead Painter

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Lead Painter to oversee painting crews and ensure high-quality results on residential and/or commercial projects. This role requires strong leadership abilities, hands-on expertise, and a thorough understanding of all phases of painting, including surface preparation and application techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, supervise, and coordinate a team of painters on job sites Assign tasks and ensure projects stay on schedule and meet quality standards Train and mentor team members on proper techniques and safety procedures Inspect work to ensure consistency, accuracy, and client satisfaction Communicate with project managers, clients, and team members effectively Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Manage materials, tools, and equipment on-site

Required Skills & Experience:

Proven experience as a professional painter, with leadership or supervisory experience preferred Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in: Surface preparation (sanding, scraping, caulking, patching, priming) Brushing and rolling techniques Spraying (airless and/or HVLP systems) Backrolling for even coverage and finish quality Ability to read and interpret job specifications and plans Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship Excellent time management and organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, bend, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions

Preferred Qualifications:

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices

$18.00 - $23.00 per hour
