In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces, enhance aesthetics, and ensure quality craftsmanship on every project. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse sites, utilize a wide range of tools and techniques, and contribute to the beautification and preservation of buildings. A strong background in construction painting, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude are essential for success in this energetic role. Duties Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools. Read blueprints and schematics to accurately determine surface areas and select appropriate materials for each project. Perform specialized painting tasks including industrial painting, restoration work, stucco application, masonry finishing, and renovation projects. Use construction estimating skills to assess project scope, materials needed, and time requirements for each job. Install fixtures, trim carpentry elements like molding or framing components, and handle repair or maintenance tasks on-site. Maintain safety standards on construction sites by properly handling tools like welding equipment and ensuring adherence to protocols during construction site experience. Skills Extensive knowledge of color theory to achieve desired aesthetic effects. Proficiency with hand tools such as brushes, rollers, scrapers, caulking guns, and power tools including drills and sanders. Experience with various types of painting including residential painting, commercial painting, industrial painting, and construction painting. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately. Strong understanding of plastering techniques, masonry work, framing carpentry, trim carpentry, stucco application, masonry finishing, concrete finishing, welding skills for specialized projects. Familiarity with renovation processes involving fixture installation and restoration work. Basic math skills for measuring surfaces and calculating material quantities efficiently. Knowledge of schematics related to industrial equipment or structural components relevant to painting projects.
