Duties Prepare surfaces thoroughly by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality Use hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including conventional spraying), brushes, and rollers to apply coatings accurately and efficiently Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and surface specifications to execute projects according to design plans Perform structural painting tasks such as stucco, plastering, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and restoration work as needed Conduct surface preparation for construction painting projects including surface repairs and finishing touches for renovation or remodeling sites Follow safety regulations rigorously by using respiratory protection, adhering to safety protocols, and maintaining a safe work environment on construction sites Assist with estimating construction costs related to painting projects by understanding scope of work and material requirements Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality and craftsmanship Skills Extensive experience with residential and commercial painting techniques including brush painting, roller painting, spray painting (including construction spray), and coating application Strong knowledge of color theory for effective visual color comparison and matching Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and surface specifications for precise execution Skilled in surface preparation techniques such as plastering, caulking, sanding, and priming for optimal results Ability to operate various tools including hand tools, power tools, scaffolding (ladder use), and fixture installation equipment safely and effectively Familiarity with construction estimating processes related to materials and labor costs Understanding of safety regulations specific to construction painting environments including respiratory protection protocols Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to coverage areas, and material estimations Experience with renovation projects involving remodeling or restoration work is a plus Strong attention to detail with an eye for quality finish work in both interior and exterior settings Join our team today if you're ready to bring vibrant spaces to life through expert painting skills!
