Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter/Handyman to join our dynamic maintenance team. This versatile role combines skilled painting with general handyman duties, ensuring the upkeep, renovation, and aesthetic enhancement of multifamily properties. The ideal candidate will bring energy, precision, and a proactive attitude to every project, contributing to a safe, beautiful, and well-maintained environment. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal adhesion and finish quality Execute interior and exterior painting projects using brushes, rollers, paint sprayers (including conventional spraying), and other hand tools Perform general handyman duties such as fixture installation, trim carpentry, stucco repairs, plastering, and basic remodeling projects Use power tools safely and effectively for tasks like sanding, cutting, drilling, and surface preparation in compliance with safety regulations Conduct surface inspections to identify areas requiring maintenance or repair; apply coatings or paint accordingly to enhance durability and appearance Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials; adhere strictly to safety protocols including respiratory protection when handling hazardous materials Requirements Knowledge of construction painting surface preparation techniques and construction spray painting methods Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including conventional spraying), brushes, rollers, caulking guns, and fixture installation tools Excellent handyman skills including trim carpentry, plastering, renovation work, maintenance tasks, and fixture installation Physical ability to use ladders safely for elevated work; comfortable working at heights in various environments
