Job Title:

Marine Painter Responsibilities Perform surface preparation work for painting projects in a shipyard environment. Mix paint and prepare materials as required for each project. Utilize tools such as needle guns for paint preparation tasks. Ensure all work is completed to high-quality standards and within specified timeframes. Essential Skills Experience in shipyard painting or labor roles with a focus on surface preparation. Ability to mix paint and prepare materials efficiently. Proficiency in using tools like needle guns for surface preparation. Work Environment Work is conducted at the Naval Operating Base (NOB), requiring a Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) for access. The role involves hands-on work with paint and surface preparation tools in an active shipyard setting4 Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Norfolk, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
