Apply paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes to interior and exterior surfaces using brushes, rollers, airless sprayers, or other tools. Use hand tools such as caulking guns, putty knives, scrapers, and brushes to ensure smooth finishes and proper surface sealing. Read blueprints and schematics to determine project scope and specific requirements for each job. Perform surface repairs including plastering, stucco application, masonry work, and drywall restoration to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Operate power tools safely for tasks like sanding, scraping, or applying textured finishes. Install fixtures, trim carpentry elements, or framing as needed during renovation or remodeling projects. Follow safety protocols on construction sites while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. Utilize construction estimating skills to assess project needs and materials required for timely completion. Apply industrial painting techniques when working on large-scale or specialized projects involving steel structures or machinery. Skills Extensive experience with residential and commercial painting projects across diverse environments. Skilled in surface preparation techniques including plastering, caulking, trimming, stucco application, and masonry work. Familiarity with hand tools such as brushes, rollers, scrapers, caulking guns; power tools including airless sprayers and sanders; welding equipment is a plus. Experience with renovation projects involving framing carpentry, fixture installation, restoration work, concrete finishing, and maintenance tasks. Knowledge of industrial painting methods suitable for large-scale or specialized applications. Hands-on experience with construction site safety procedures and handyman tasks related to remodeling or maintenance projects.
