Experienced Painter

We are hiring an Experienced Painter as a Full-time employee in Wisconsin. This position will require travel some travel, up to 25% of the time within and outside of the local market. Starting pay for the Experienced Painter role will be up to $25-$30/hour depending on experience and qualifications, paid hotel , meal per diem , and paid drive time when traveling. The successful candidate will be hard-working and eager to learn the various services our company offers to our clients. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and will communicate effectively with the team to share information about our current activities. As a Experienced Painter, you will travel to client locations to complete interior and exterior painting jobs.

Traveling Painter Job Requirements:

Read blueprints/instructions and examine surfaces to determine the kind and amount of work necessary Make on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures etc. Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint etc. Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material (e.g. plaster) Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right color or texture Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools Apply varnish and other finishes Take and adhere to all health and safety precautions Overnight/out of town travel. (100%) Possess and maintain a valid Driver's License subject to continuous review. Must be able to lift and carry up-to 75 pounds repeatedly. Background check

Traveling Painter Responsibilities:

Prioritize customer needs and balance workload. Meet ladder safety requirements as defined by OSHA. Must be comfortable with and confident working at heights. Must be comfortable working outside in all weather conditions. Be comfortable using technology to access our client & company platforms. Work independently with remote supervision. A typical work week will require 40 - 50 hours. Integrity - we expect our painters to always act with integrity. Demonstrate a superior Customer Service attitude. Skills Proven experience as a Commercial Painter Excellent knowledge of painting material and how to select, mix and apply them Solid knowledge of commercial and/or construction painting techniques Aptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns etc.) Good basic math skills Manual dexterity with excellent balance to work on scaffolding, ladders etc. Conscientious with great attention to detail High school diploma
