Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Painter/Foreman to oversee and execute high-quality painting projects across residential, commercial, and industrial sites. As the leader of our painting team, you will coordinate all aspects of painting operations, from surface preparation to finishing touches, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. Your expertise in various painting techniques, construction processes, and team management will drive successful project outcomes and client satisfaction. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead skilled crews while applying your comprehensive knowledge of construction painting and renovation. Duties Lead and supervise a team of painters on multiple projects, ensuring safety protocols and quality standards are maintained throughout each phase. Plan and organize daily work schedules, allocate resources effectively, and monitor progress to meet project deadlines. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, or applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Execute a wide range of painting techniques including airless spray painting, brushwork, roller application, and specialty finishes such as stucco or industrial coatings. Read blueprints, schematics, and schematics to interpret project specifications accurately; apply knowledge of color theory for aesthetic consistency. Perform surface repairs involving drywall installation, trim carpentry, masonry work, or restoration tasks as needed during renovation projects. Operate hand tools and power tools safely for tasks such as fixture installation, framing, or concrete finishing; utilize welding or other specialized skills when required. Ensure proper preparation of surfaces for different types of paint including residential, commercial, or industrial applications; apply caulking and sealing techniques for durability. Maintain detailed documentation of project progress, materials used, safety inspections, and quality control measures. Train and mentor team members in proper techniques for construction site experience tasks like masonry or plastering while fostering a collaborative work environment. Experience Proven experience in construction painting with a strong background in residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Demonstrated leadership skills with previous roles as a foreman or lead painter managing teams on multiple sites. Extensive knowledge of construction estimating processes and ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately. Skilled in surface preparation techniques including plastering, caulking, drywall repair, and restoration work. Familiarity with the use of hand tools and power tools such as airless sprayers, grinders, saws, welders, and concrete finishing equipment. Experience with renovation projects involving remodeling or fixture installation; ability to adapt to various construction environments. Strong understanding of color theory for interior/exterior applications; knowledge of safety standards on construction sites is essential. Basic math skills for measuring surfaces and calculating material quantities; carpentry skills including trim carpentry and frame work are advantageous.
