Job Description
Equipment Operator KG UNS Electric $31.61/hr United States, Arizona, Kingman Aug 26, 2026 We are looking for talented individuals who are passionate about making an impact in the company and the community. Position Description This job classification shall possess the ability to learn the required duties necessary to use all tools and equipment relative to the work group and to obtain and maintain the necessary CDL license to perform all of the duties of this classification. Position Related Responsibilities Familiar with the Company's Safety Manual, Traffic Control Procedures, Construction Standards, accounting and time keeping procedures, rigging procedures, heavy lifting procedures, and other procedures and applicable rules and regulations.
Inspect and maintain equipment as required by UES and to remain DOT complaint.
Have knowledge of proper loading and uploading procedures and unloading of equipment and securing.
Operate and drive equipment up to and including vehicles with more than 44,000 lbs/GVR
Specific examples of duties will include, but not limited to:
Pole hauling and removal
Pole-Hole digging
Operation of boom truck, underground and overhead stringing and pulling equipment, Vac-machine, back property derrick and includes the safe operation of excavation equipment, etc.
Loading, hauling and transporting of equipment and materials
Other tasks and assignments as directed
This position may provide services to affiliates of the Company subject to the UNS Energy Code of Conduct and the related Policies and Procedures. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Must have CDL
High school diploma or equivalent
Good oral and written communication skills
High level of awareness and responsibility for environmental considerations that impact them, their jobs and the Company
Good mechanical skills
Must possess good, safe work practices All employees are expected and required to adhere to the Company Code of Ethics and Principals of Conduct.
