The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation of fabricated ductwork. This position requires strong technical knowledge, attention to safety, and the ability to work both independently and part of a team.
REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand for more than 8 hours per day; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms above shoulder level; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, controls
  • Ability to work from ladders, scaffolding, and confined spaces upon training completion
  • Proficient in using HVAC diagnostic tools and technology
  • Ability to lift up to 75lbs and work in varying environmental conditions
  • Ability to take direction from Foreman, Operations Managers and the HVAC Superintendent
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the trade of
HVAC QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with employees and supervisory personnel.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical fundamentals of plane and solid geometry. Ability to measure, layout and use basic math skills working with fractions and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations. The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
: Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the welding trade. Skill in the welding of ferrous and nonferrous metals. Ability to read and independently work from plans, sketches, diagrams, and blueprints.
