This role involves managing a team of technicians, ensuring compliance with safety standards and building codes, and delivering high-quality work efficiently. The Fire Sprinkler Foreman will be responsible for interpreting schematics, coordinating with project managers, and maintaining a safe work environment while meeting project deadlines. Responsibilities Lead and supervise fire sprinkler installation teams on construction sites, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to fire sprinkler systems and piping layouts. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure seamless project execution. Perform welding tasks including MIG welding, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), TIG welding, and welding as required for pipe fitting and system assembly. Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, calipers, and tube bending tools to assemble piping systems accurately. Conduct rigging operations to lift and position heavy components safely on site. Ensure all work complies with ASME codes & standards, local building codes, and safety regulations. Maintain detailed records of work performed, inspections conducted, and materials used. Provide mentorship to team members on proper installation techniques, safety procedures, and technical skills such as soldering and HVAC system integration. Assist in troubleshooting system issues using mechanical knowledge and schematic diagrams to identify root causes. Requirements Proven experience as a fire sprinkler fitter or foreman with a strong background in construction or manufacturing environments. Proficiency in MIG welding, FCAW, TIG welding, soldering, and welding techniques. Extensive knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, pipe threading, tube bending, and assembly processes. Familiarity with ASME codes & standards related to piping systems and fire protection equipment. Ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics accurately; experience with HVAC systems is a plus. Strong mechanical aptitude combined with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, calipers, rigging equipment, and maintenance tools. Knowledge of plumbing principles and pipeline installation practices within construction or industrial settings. Excellent problem-solving skills with basic math proficiency for measurements and calculations. Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and project stakeholders. Valid certifications in welding techniques (MIG/FCAW/TIG), rigging certification preferred; relevant safety certifications are required.
