What a Blackeagle Natural Gas Distribution ~ Fusion Fitter can expect to do: Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by adhering to company/customer safety standards, practicing legal regulations, alerting others regarding potential hazards or concerns. Plan, lay-out, install, test, and repair all types of piping systems in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards. Work in other crafts at levels appropriate to training and skills, as may be requested by supervisor. PRIMARY RESPONSIBLIITIES

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Develop complete understanding of client Installation standards, installation plans and specifications. Lay-out, install and/or repair all types of piping systems in accordance with those plans and specifications. Follow established job-site safety and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work area. Identify safety hazards you or other employees may be subject to, and take all necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize hazards. Inspect work for compliance with the client standards, plans and specifications, point out and explain deficiencies, take any corrective action needed. Use appropriate hand and power tools to fit and install all types of pipe, select specified type and size of pipe; mount pipe hangers and brackets on walls and ceilings to hold pipe; install valves, couplings and other fittings necessary to complete scope of work. Utilize all pipe fitting techniques and methods for different types of piping systems and pipe couplings including butt fusion, socket fusion, and electrofusion. Understand and execute hot taps and stops. Produce quality work, meeting requirements of plans, specifications, and industry standards

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Ability to perform repetitive movements. Ability to work overhead. Ability to use hands to grasp. Ability to reach with arms. Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and twist. Ability to sit, climb and balance. Ability to work up to 12-hour shifts in all weather and temperature extremes. Ability to frequently lift and/or push or pull up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or push or pull up to 50 pounds.
