Job Description Summary:
Responsibilities include the oversight of electric work and introductory aspects of field management and administration. This includes the planning, coordination and layout of the work, ensuring that materials, tools, equipment and information are in the proper places at the proper time to meet or exceed production rates, performing the actual work and installations as required. The Field Lead has the ultimate responsibility of safety on the project and ensures adherence and compliance to the LEI Health and Safety Manual, all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Standards and any project specific requirements. This is a leadership role requiring the ongoing analysis and improvement of existing business processes and procedures; always looking for opportunities to improve the system, generate efficiencies, capture savings or implement new solutions. You will be required to interact and communicate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, it is expected that this is done cooperatively, with good faith, and in alignment with the LEI core values. Leaders are expected to step in and help solve problems in any department, with any individual, always eager to train, mentor or coach others as well as pursue individual growth and development.

Laptop Cell Phone Essential Functions and Responsibilities (Other Duties May Be Assigned to Meet Business Needs): Review, interpret and analyze contract documents, plans, specifications and schedules Review, interpret and analyze estimates, proposals, projections, phasing and project strategy Provide input to job setup plans including storage, logistics, tools, equipment and technology needs Prepare complete takeoffs for labor tasking, budget comparison and material buyouts Identify and initiate all BIM and prefabrication requirements and opportunities Prepare and consistently update man loaded task level current and three (3) week look ahead Review and interpret long and short-term schedules, plan long lead items accordingly Create dimensioned and scaled sketches of all pads, sleeves, conduit racks, underground feeders, electrical and equipment rooms, utilize BIM whenever possible Review and verify that all wiring diagrams and shop drawings are accurate Establish all installation means and methods, adhering to the specifications and budget Ensure crews have all required materials, tools and layout in the work area at the proper time Answer crew questions and provide acceptable solutions in a timely manner Ensure all crew members turn in accurate daily time records with units and material needs Oversee completely and be responsible for the crew productivity, quality and workmanship Ensure that all installations comply with the NEC and local AHJ requirements Receive and check all material against Buy Outs, Material Requisitions and Purchase Orders Handle damaged, missing or backordered items in accordance with established procedures Establish and maintain safeguards to prevent damage, theft or loss of material and equipment Update and post changes to all field drawings and specifications ensuring they are current Create RFI's for any areas of concern, trade coordination, design discrepancies or conflicts Monitor and incorporate all approved change orders into the material and work plan Follow the change order process for all extra work required outside of our contracted scope including extras for the GC or other trades Inform Project Manager immediately of extra work required outside of our contracted scope Attend required meetings and address all electrical scheduling and coordination needs and ensure the comments are recorded accurately in the meeting minutes Maintain and keep current all As-Built drawings weekly Complete daily field reports and maintain a written daily log Maintain an ongoing task list striving towards NO loose ends, NO rework and ZERO punch list Coordinate, plan and document all required testing in accordance with contract documents Enforce LEI policies, procedures and standards Promote positive attitudes and high morale on the jobsite with alignment to the LEI values Promote and maintain a clean and safe work environment through weekly safety meetings and enforcement of all safety and jobsite rules Fill out all safety and injury reports in a timely manner LEI is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer LEI Companies reserves the right to provide compensation outside of the posted range based on the following factors: seniority, merit, productivity, geographic location/travel and relevant education, training, or experience and not based on any protected characteristic as established by law.
