Pipefitter Mechanic Main Enterprises, INC. - 2.6 Stratford, CT Job Details 7 hours ago Benefits Paid holidays Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Qualifications Personal protective equipment (PPE) adherence Driver's License Lifts and hoists Safety equipment Full Job Description Pipefitter Mechanic Summary Pipe Fitter work to install and/or repair HVAC equipment, components, piping systems and associated materials per the project plans and specifications.
Accountabilities:
Treat all people associated with Main Enterprises, both internally and externally, with respect, honesty and integrity always. Work with a safe attitude promoting safe working practices. Follow a team of on-site project personal safely, effectively and efficiently Read blueprints & specifications Pipe fluid conveyance systems for the installation of air handlers, condensing units, cooling towers, heat exchangers, boilers, VRF systems and chillers and the repair of the same. Experienced in working with and installing copper, black steel, and other types of piping systems. Experienced in working with and installing ProPress, Victaulic and other connector types. Skilled in various methods of grooving, cutting, threading, soldering, and brazing piping. Locate and mark positions for piping penetrations and equipment locations. Install supports and hangers for pipe and HVAC equipment. Install, repair and replacement of refrigerant piping and systems. Testing pipe systems and equipment for leaks. Meet all applicable trade and building codes. Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Certifications:
Valid CT Driver's License and Reliable Transportation CT Trade License - S-1 or
S-2 OSHA
10 and/or 30
Physical & Mental Job Requirements:
Climb ladders 6, 8, 10, 12, 14 ft. and extension ladders where scissor lift doesn't apply. Climb stairwells Use of all required PPE (personal protective equipment) Able to lift min 75 lbs. Rig heavy equipment off load truck and equipment
