This position will report to Nash Plumbing and Mechanical, LLC, a subsidiary of HB Global. The primary purpose of the Commercial Construction Pipfitter-1 is to perform welding procedures according to code based on the project needs and specifications.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
High school diploma or Equivalent Ability to work overtime when required . Employer conducts background check, and drug screen. Completion of a recognized pipefitter apprenticeship program or equivalent practical experience (typically 5+ years in commercial or industrial pipefitting). Proven ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, P&IDs, and isometric drawings. Proficiency in various pipe joining techniques, including welding (SMAW, TIG, MIG), brazing, soldering, threading, and grooving. Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic principles related to piping systems. Knowledge of relevant building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards (e.g., ASME, ANSI). Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, and standing for extended periods. Problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Communication and teamwork abilities. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred. Valid driver's license due to travel.

ESSENTIAL
DUTIES and
RESPONSIBILITIES
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and isometric drawings to determine pipe layouts, dimensions, and materials required. Measure, cut, thread, bend, and weld various types of pipes (e.g., steel, copper, PVC) according to project specifications and applicable codes. Assemble and install piping systems, including hangers, supports, valves, and other components, ensuring proper alignment and functionality. Inspect and test installed piping systems for leaks, proper pressure, and overall integrity using appropriate testing equipment. Troubleshoot and repair existing piping systems, identifying and rectifying issues such as leaks, blockages, or damaged components. Operate and maintain hand and power tools safely and effectively, including pipe cutters, threaders, welders, and grinders. Collaborate with other tradespeople, project managers, and supervisors to ensure seamless project execution and adherence to schedules. Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, as well as relevant industry regulations and standards. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored and cared for. Assist in the training and mentoring of junior pipefitters or apprentices as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.
