With a commitment to providing high-quality services to our clients, we are seeking a seasoned and professional Pipefitter to join our growing team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on a variety of challenging projects in a dynamic environment.
Project Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Pipefitter to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining piping systems that carry water, steam, air, or other liquids and gases used in heating, cooling, and process systems. This role requires strong technical skills, blueprint reading, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and specifications to determine pipe layout and job requirements. Measure, cut, thread, groove, bend, and weld pipes according to specifications. Install pipe systems and supports, such as hangers and hydraulic cylinders. Inspect, test, and maintain piping systems for leaks and proper functionality. Work with carbon steel, stainless steel, copper, and various piping materials. Collaborate with welders, plumbers, and other trades on mechanical construction projects. Adhere to all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Pipefitter in mechanical or industrial environments. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications. Experience with threading, welding, grooving, and soldering processes. Knowledge of mechanical codes and standards. Strong understanding of job site safety practices. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. NCCER certification or equivalent trade school training preferred. Why FOKIS Mechanical?
