Job Title:
Certified Welder Technician Job Description We are seeking skilled and certified welders to support the construction and repair of industrial paint booths and related systems. This role involves hands-on welding, fabrication, and installation work in manufacturing and industrial environments. Candidates must be comfortable working from blueprints and contributing to full buildouts of new facilities. The position requires extended travel assignments and is ideal for individuals who are highly adaptable, self-driven, and experienced in industrial welding and construction projects. Responsibilities Perform welding and fabrication for the construction and repair of industrial paint booths. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project plans to complete builds accurately. Construct structural frameworks, including I-beam assemblies and sheet metal wall paneling. Assist with installation of additional systems, including ventilation and exhaust systems, lighting infrastructure, and other mechanical and structural components required for project completion. Ensure all work meets safety standards and quality expectations. Collaborate with project teams to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results. Essential Skills Certified Welder (required). Proven experience in industrial or commercial welding environments. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Experience with structural welding including I-beams, sheet metal, and pipe welding. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Willingness to work in physically demanding environments. Additional Skills & Qualifications Must have or be willing to complete training for certifications such as OSHA 10, Fall Protection, CPR, Aerial Lift, and Forklift. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work will be conducted in industrial and manufacturing settings, including construction and installation job sites. This role may involve working at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions depending on project location. The typical workweek is Monday through Friday, with some weekends, usually totaling 60 hours per week. The work schedule typically runs from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, but hours may vary based on project requirements. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbus, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
