HVAC Assistant

Entry-Level HVAC Assistant Job Description We are seeking a skilled assistant to perform plumbing, HVAC, and sheet-metal work in our shop and on job sites . Experience in construction is highly valued. Candidates with 1-3 years of experience are preferred. This role is a great way to learn the trades firsthand and prepare for future training as a licensed professional. Responsibilities Assist with plumbing, heating, and cooling projects both in the shop and at work sites. Install and fix pipes and fittings by measuring and cutting them accurately. Carry out hands-on tasks involving ventilation systems and ductwork. Utilize hand and power tools safely and effectively. Collaborate with other team members to read and follow basic blueprints and layouts. Essential Skills Some construction experience . Proficiency in using various hand and power tools. Experience with sheet metal work and riveting. Knowledgeable in basic math, including fractions, decimals, and measurements. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to lift and carry all necessary equipment and supplies. Capability to work in awkward environments and stand for long periods of time. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Boone, IA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
