Lab Technician, QA/QC

POSITION SUMMARY

Performs a variety of initial and final testing procedures to validate material and product quality levels. Trains technicians on testing procedures, documentation, and general quality laboratory practices. All duties are performed in a manner that is consistent with the goals and policies of the company, as well as in compliance with ISO standards, where applicable. Primary Job Duties

• Performs quality control testing, requiring the efficient and effective use of a variety of laboratory equipment and processes.
• Tests raw material and finished products, using a variety of equipment and processes and refers test results for product release to customer or inventory.
• Performs equipment maintenance and calibration on assigned tools and machines as needed.
• Interprets test results, requiring good knowledge of products and processes.
• Revises QC documents when changes are made on forms and SOP's.
• Issues nonconformities to products that are not within specifications.
• Other duties as assigned. Position Requirements
• Requires previous related work experience that provides the knowledge of and skill to use standard laboratory equipment.
• A bachelor's degree in a science discipline or a combination of education, training and experience that provides the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the above duties is required.
• Ability to read and interpret SOPs and technical procedures.
• Requires the ability and skill to use a variety of laboratory equipment and perform laboratory procedures.
• Requires good analytical skills to interpret data, understand QC procedures, and evaluate results.
• Requires accurate and neat writing skills and good verbal communication to effectively discuss information with others.
• Requires basic lab skills and computer skills, with knowledge of commonly used software programs for word processing, spreadsheets and databases.
• Experience in an

ISO 9001

2015 certified environment is a plus. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on and on-going basis without sponsorship.
