Job Description
2454 North 27th Street, Decatur, IL, United States | Decatur, IL | Hourly | 36-42 per hour | Full Time The Kelly Group is seeking a Pipe Supervisor for its Decatur, Illinois, location and work in the surrounding area. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience leading industrial piping crews. This position — requiring strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills — will oversee and perform work alongside a fitter/welder crew.
This position requires the ability to perform these essential duties: Perform pipe layout, fit-up, installation and field verification Display strong blueprint, isometric and P&ID reading skills Maintain working knowledge of welding methods, pipe testing and startup support Complete work using safe practices and conduct regular safety planning with employees Coordinate labor, material, equipment and jobsite priorities Mentor employees and enforce quality and safety expectations Other preferred qualifications sought include: OSHA 10-hour or equivalent training The Kelly Group offers a complete benefits package, including: Comprehensive group medical, Rx, dental and vision coverage Health care and dependent care pre-tax flexible spending account options Paid life/AD&D insurance Short-term and long-term disability 401(k) retirement plan option with employer match Paid time off and paid vacation Paid holidays
