Job Description Position Purpose:
Responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining a variety of machinery and equipment to include engines, motors, tools, parts (hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, etc.), conveyor systems, etc. to ensure optimum performance of machines and associated equipment. Primary Duties /
Responsibilities:
Performs the following duties: Numeracy; take accurate measurements using precision instruments (eg. dial indicator ,micrometer) Blueprint reading; have the ability to work from Prints and schematics Aerial Lift and other elevated work (Fall protection) Hot work Scaffolding Crane Safety Overhead Crane & Hoist Safety Fall Protection Line Breaking Confined Space LOTO Predictive Maintenance Conduit Fabrication Maintain appropriate records on completed work performed using the CMMS system, communicating all findings to the immediate supervisor. Must have the ability to work autonomously All candidates are subject to a 90 day probationary period. Other duties as assigned Qualifications Education / Experience /
Background:
High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required Associate's degree with an emphasis in Electrical/Mechanical skills preferred 5 (five) years work experience Must have completed schooling for a trade skill with a 3.0 or greater GPA or have a documented trade skill ( or have 1 year or greater, work experience as a Journeyman Instrument/Electrical Technician Must have completed 4160 hours of on the job training, or have documented 5 years or greater in related industrial experience and skill. Must have completed 600 hours of classroom (on-line or face to face) training including listed primary duties or have 1 year work experience as an I/E Journeyman Knowledge / Skills /
Abilities:
Strong team player Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Time management: the ability to organize and manage multiple deadlines 40 hr. OSHA HAZWOPER and complete entry level training (LOTO, Line Breaking, Hotwork) Forklift certification Problem solving; Must have the mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and repair various complex pieces of equipment independently.
