- Construction is responsible for the fabrication, assembly, installation, and repair of piping systems in construction projects throughout the Indiana Region.
This role involves reading and interpreting blueprints, preparing pipe layouts, performing welding and fitting tasks, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The Welder/Pipefitter works as part of a skilled trades team to deliver efficient, high-quality work that meets project schedules and specifications. Primary Responsibilities and Duties Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine piping layouts and requirements. Cut, measure, fabricate, weld, and install pipes and fittings using industry-standard tools and techniques. Perform welding operations (TIG, MIG, stick, etc.) for pipe and structural assemblies. Install, test, and repair piping systems for plumbing, HVAC, process piping, and construction projects. Verify proper pipe alignment, connections, and supports to ensure system integrity. Conduct inspections to confirm work complies with codes, safety regulations, and company standards. Assist with material handling, equipment setup, and preparation of jobsite work areas. Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and other trades to maintain project timelines. Complete documentation including safety checklists, work logs, and quality control reports. Follow company and OSHA safety protocols to maintain a safe and compliant worksite. Identify potential issues and recommend solutions to maintain productivity and quality.
