What You'll Do:

Maintain metal temperatures in remelt and holding furnaces. Add scrap metal and ingots into furnaces according to specifications. Skim slag from molten aluminum surface. Transport scrap metal from trim presses to remelt furnaces. Conduct pre-shift inspections on lift trucks and equipment. Wear multiple layers of personal protective equipment. Work in a hot environment near hot furnaces and equipment. Identify alloys using color-coding and number coding. Work independently and in a team environment. Learn safe operations of lift trucks. Complete all assigned training. Follow prescribed safety regulations and use personal protective equipment. Meet physical and environmental requirements. Maintain regular and punctual attendance, including overtime as assigned. Follow Environmental Policy and Quality Policy guidelines. Keep the work area and equipment clean and orderly. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

What We're Looking For:

Must be able to read, speak, and understand English. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen. Ability to lift up to 50lbs. Must have 6 months of prior forklift experience. Must have a valid driver's license. Must have High School degree or GED. Ability to stand and walk for 8 hours or longer. Ability to push and pull up to 40lbs. Must be open to working mandatory overtime as needed. Must maintain a clean workstation.
