Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities:
Create quality welds in accordance with drawings, specifications, applicable codes and standards, etc., and have welds pass inspection/examination in accordance with ASME Sec IX acceptance criteria and utilizing typical welding inspection non-destructive examination methods Prepare product to be welded by grinding, drilling, milling, tapping and cutting steel/aluminum parts Change wire, welding, as needed Change gas tanks as required Inspects worksite to determine presence of obstructions Plans sequence on installation to avoid obstructions and activities of other workers Performs minor maintenance and cleaning activities of tools and equipment Observes and complies with all safety and project rules and all company policies and procedures Perform other duties as required
Certifications, Education and Experience:
Associate Degree or trade school certification in craft preferred, but significant hands-on experience will also be considered Strong, hands-on background in welding of plate, piping (including small bore) and structural components, including carbon steel and stainless steel (where applicable), using GTAW, GMAW, SMAW and FCAW welding processes and equipment Minimum 5 years of industrial welding experience desired, but will consider lesser experience depending upon individual
